KONAMI today announced details for the 2nd gameplay patch for PES 2012, which is set to be released in November.
The patch will not only improve the keepers further, but also enhance playability in freekick situations and for penalty kicks.
The 'stutter run' bug was removed as well as small fixes were made to the Fixtures List in Football Life.

A same the game wasn't finished before launching, all these bugs should have been found in beta testing!

Sometimes experimenting is fine, but the free kicks from the last edition of PES were great, why would you change them? We even got the penalties right even though it was harder to score from a free kick rather than from a penalty kick. And now this? Playability definitely has to change in terms of better and faster response whilst changing between players. Don`t you hate it when you press the button 100 times to switch to the player you wanted to? I know i do. So fix that! This problem has been there since i don`t know when

Bugs like this should not be in the final game. When you notice bugs like this fix them immediately.
And what's the releasedate? November has 30 days!
How can we install this patch? will it be downloadable from extra content only or do we have to visit the konami site because as far as i remember in PES 2011 the patch could not be downloaded from the extra content like we could download the boots and kits. please clarify me on this!

How about passes improvement? Pressing pass + ^, player passes to all the sides, except the pressed one
impossible to defend well in the PES 2012 still too much inconsistency with the defenders. I go to FIFA
what about the through pass? i do understand they mad it hard to make a through pass in pes 2012, because in pes 2011 it was very easy, but it becomes EXTREMELY annoying when the AI purposely doesn't allow you to make that final through pass and gives the ball to someone else. btw long balls are very precise, it was better in pes 2011. and also, players somehow rarely kick the ball with the outside of their feet, they almost all the time user the inside of the foot, what's up with that? not to mention keepers being very easy to beat, and they also never close down the nearest corner they are at, attackers from flanks can easily score because keepers don't close down that nearest space at the closest bar. and some fouls are funny))
The defence speed is so bad . When I press the button ,the ball definitly would be in the goal . also, the through pass is not accurate .
when i play games in football life during the match the game freezes and comes back. I dont know if any of yall are experiencing this issue?
PES 2011 - too many odd offside calls
+ silly overpowered shooting -press button very lighty and quickly but the ball flies sky high + silly overpowered long pass + the penalty kick view was a joke.
PES 2012 - opponent wins header every time + every time you touch/pressure the opponent it went straight fouls + opponent dribbles and runs very fast,even for a low stats player + attacking play is ok but defending is really sucks big time
Don`t even get me started on the stupid fouls, it`s ridiculous how every single contact between players is wistled a foul, that`s not football it`s pretty ice-skating. We want football!!! Contact, real fouls, the AI was suposse to be better this year, really? Seriously people, there`s some hard work to be done here. Some things are better than in 2011 but many are worse
so much negative comments for pes2012 here. I couldn't agree more with most of them!
I don't know whether I am playing so badly or the AI is cheating so madly. When I pass the ball to someone who is running and the ball is one foot beyond his position, the player just freak out and stop. The next thing happened of course is my opponent(the AI) got a counter chance. And the air through ball set by the AI player is just crazy, my defenders always freak out when they fail to win the ball or they just couldn't find it when the win the opponent player. I used to win every champion under Top Player in 2011 but I can't win a Professional AI with confidence in 2012.
All so very good points. Someone commented on too many bad comments about PES 2012. Yes, there are too many, and we`re all PES fans, so shouldn`t Konami be worried about that? We`re not just a bunch of PES haters who want to write bad comments. NO, we love PES and we want to see it far better than this. FIFA will never be better than PES but Konami shouldn`t give EA Sports a chance to catch on. Am i right or am i right?
All these comments are true but I wanted to know when the new PESEDIT Patch will be released so they might be able to fix some of this stuff
try going to task manager and setting the priority of pes2012.exe to high
They couldn't make penalties worse. The ball never seems to go anywhere other than dead center and I've tried everything. Your defence is even worse, I've coached 10-year olds who could make a more organized defence than this. Another problem is that your players are too slow, unresponsive and sluggish which is in contrast to the COM's players who are fast as shit, agile and very responsive. Well, I don't have a problem with challenge, but I have a problem with the cheating AI.
But yeah, kudos to the COM's defence, it's tough to beat and the defenders act like they would in real life.
I've stress already if CPU got free kick...99% will GOAL...!!!

In Pes 20111, the defence is really horrid. The LB or RB or even teh CB doesn't reach in time. No support for the Golaies.
In Football Life ........ Its very tough to sign the players unless they are free agent or play for OTHERS !! Then another bug i have found, a player who has joined a team at 16, he is still shown as Joined the team recently even at the age of 20 years. That stopping me to make a bid for him. Whenever you are going for BID or LOAN transfer, you will only see add to scout or add to favourites.
PES 2011 is at least 5times better than PES 2012.who are behind this game development?im very curious with the low playability in this version.
All COM teams i have played were very tough and the whole seem to be barcelona in style.....example : stoke city players dribbling me as they are messi,xavi,iniesta...etc !!!!!!!!!.......i hope the admins of the game take this difficulties into consideration to render every team as we know....

When I played PES 2012, I thought I was playing FIFA.
So easy to path defenders, dump goal Keepers, and SHIT fouls
I just hate it.
PES 2011 is the best Football game ever till now.
def free kick ....just put 1 defender to the beside the keeper...
keeper 1 on 1....try press W...then press D....
defending tactics....try to use zonal marking...you can lost ball easily when man marking
There are just so many inconsistencies between AI play and User play. Tackles that I get penalised for are ignored when it's the AI. You are permanently outmuscled, outjumped, and outpaced, regardless of player matchup. User goalkeeper is laughable, whereas AI seem to be much more consistent. Tackling is pointless, you simply have to hold them up as best as you can and hope they make a mistake. Penalties have gone from ridiculously hard to ridiculously easy. My main gripe, however, is the number of handballs in the game, none of which get called. I can't tell you how many times a goal scoring opportunity has been prevented by a handball. Real life, it's a straight red card, PES it's ignored. Despite all this though, I'd still rather play this than FIFA.
I hope the fix the issue of rampant individual runs, inadequate collision detection, over sensitive foul system that literally brings games to a crawl, reduce the chance of effectiveness for all wing play, the fact that the ball can pass through player models
for me pes 2012 is not too bad.
the only bad is the almost all AI direct freekick ends up with a goal, and sometime goalkeeper animation is quite funny.
the defend mechanism is quite real, and those who complained about the defend is totally noob.
i also face problem to defend when started play pes2012 coz it is not same with pes2011. but then i start to feel comfortable after try to play just like the real football tactic.

pes 2012 : goal keeper become so stupid...hard to defend the ball...ai always win the header 100%...slow to shoot even the best player...frequent silly foul when very little touch against the opponnent...how much im supposed to say?...im rather to play pes 2011..i hope konami will fix it asap...
